Privacy Policy

The short version
- • Everything you enter in Moniqa is stored only on your iPhone.
- • There is no account, no sign-in and no bank linking.
- • Moniqa has no servers, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
- • Receipts are read on your device and never uploaded.
- • Adky Labs never sees your transactions, budgets or receipts.
What Moniqa stores, and where
Your expenses, income, budgets, categories, savings goals, settings and any receipt photos you attach are stored in Moniqa's private storage on your iPhone. Like all app data on iOS, it's protected by your device passcode and Apple's built-in data protection.
Moniqa's widgets read your remaining budget from a shared container on the same device so they can display it. That data doesn't leave your iPhone either.
If you use iCloud device backups, iOS may include Moniqa's data in that backup, under Apple's privacy policy. Moniqa itself does not sync to any cloud service.
What Moniqa does not collect
Adky Labs does not collect, receive or sell:
- • your transactions, amounts, stores, notes or receipts
- • your name, email, phone number or any account details
- • bank, card or payment details
- • location, contacts or device identifiers for tracking
- • usage analytics or crash reports
The App Store privacy label for Moniqa is Data Not Collected.
Permissions
Moniqa only asks for a permission when you use the feature that needs it, and you can turn any of them off in the Settings app.
Camera
Only when you choose Scan receipt. The image is read on your iPhone and saved with that expense.
Photos
Only when you pick a receipt image from your library. Moniqa sees just the photo you pick.
Face ID
Only if you turn on Lock with Face ID. Apple handles the check; Moniqa never sees your face data.
Notifications
Budget alerts at 80% and 100% of your budget. They're scheduled on your device.
Siri & Shortcuts
Lets you log expenses or ask what's left by voice. Requests are handled by Apple's Siri; Moniqa only receives the action you asked for.
Moniqa does not use your location, microphone, contacts or health data.
Receipt scanning
When you scan or pick a receipt, the text is recognised on your iPhone using Apple's Vision framework (and, where available, Apple's on-device language model) to fill in the amount, store, date and category. The image is never sent to Adky Labs or to any other server. The photo is kept with the expense on your device until you remove it or delete the expense.
Backups and exports
Backups and CSV exports are only created when you ask for them. Moniqa hands the file to the iOS share sheet, and you choose where it goes, for example Files, iCloud Drive or another app. Once a file leaves Moniqa, it's handled by the place you saved it, so treat it as you would any sensitive document.
Purchases
Moniqa Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. Moniqa uses RevenueCat to confirm whether you have Pro. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated app user ID and your App Store purchase information. It never receives any of your financial data from the app. Apple does not share your name, email or payment details with Adky Labs.
Deleting your data
You can delete individual entries in the app, or remove everything by deleting Moniqa from your iPhone. Because Adky Labs holds none of your data, there's nothing to request from us. Backup or export files you saved elsewhere need to be deleted from where you put them.
Children
Moniqa doesn't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13, because it doesn't collect personal information at all.
Android
An earlier version of Moniqa is available on Google Play. It works the same way: data is stored only on your device, with no accounts, analytics or ads. It doesn't include receipt scanning, widgets, Siri or Face ID.
Changes to this policy
If Moniqa's handling of data changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Moniqa's local-only approach to your financial data is not going to change.
