CalmDone stores all your personal data (tasks, reflections, notes) locally on your device. We use some third-party services for analytics and subscriptions, but your personal content never leaves your device.

Welcome to CalmDone. We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use the CalmDone mobile application.

By using CalmDone, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information Collection

CalmDone Does Not Collect or Store Your Personal Data

We do NOT have servers or databases for your personal content
We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your tasks, notes, or reflections
All your personal data stays on your device using local encrypted storage

Important: While CalmDone itself doesn't collect your personal data, we use third-party services for analytics, subscriptions, and optional AI features. These services may collect data according to their own privacy policies.

Third-Party Services We Use

📊PostHog (Analytics)

Collects: Usage statistics, screen views, feature interactions

Purpose: Help us understand app usage and improve features

🐛Sentry (Error Tracking)

Collects: Error logs, crash reports, device information

Purpose: Identify and fix bugs to improve app stability

💳RevenueCat & Apple (Subscriptions)

Collects: Subscription status, purchase tokens (Apple handles all payments)

Purpose: Manage subscriptions and verify purchases

🤖OpenAI (Optional AI Features)

Collects: Task titles and context ONLY when you tap "AI Help"

Purpose: Provide AI-powered suggestions and assistance

⚠️ This is opt-in per usage - data is only sent when you explicitly request AI help

How Your Data Is Stored

All data created in CalmDone is stored locally on your device using secure, encrypted storage (MMKV). This includes:

• Your daily clarity entries and task notes
• Your priorities and focus suggestions
• Your daily reflections and progress notes
• Your app preferences and settings

Important: Your personal content never leaves your device. We have no servers to sync your tasks or reflections. Your data is yours alone.

Automatically Collected Information

Our third-party services automatically collect some technical information:

• Device type and model
• Operating system version (iOS)
• App version
• Anonymous device identifiers (for analytics only)
• Screen views and feature usage patterns
• Error logs and crash reports

This data is collected by PostHog and Sentry, not by CalmDone directly. It is anonymized and used only to improve app performance and fix bugs.

Device Permissions

CalmDone may request the following device permissions:

Notifications (Optional)

To send gentle reminders for your morning clarity and evening reflection. You can disable this at any time in your device settings.

Local Storage

To save your tasks, priorities, and reflections on your device. This data is encrypted and never transmitted.

Subscription & Payment Information

CalmDone uses Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat for subscription management.

• We do NOT collect or store your payment information
• Apple handles all payment processing
• We only receive subscription status (active/expired)
• We cannot see your credit card, Apple ID, or billing address

Your Data Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

Access & Control

All your data is stored locally and accessible within the app. Use "Export All Data" in Settings to download your data.

Delete Data

Use "Clear All Data" in Settings or uninstall the app to permanently delete all local data.

GDPR & CCPA Rights

If you're in the EU/EEA or California, you have additional rights to access, rectify, or delete your data. Since we don't collect your personal data, you must contact third-party services directly for their data.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your Local Data: Stored on your device indefinitely until you delete it.

Analytics Data: PostHog retains data for up to 2 years, Sentry for 90 days, then automatically deleted.

You can delete all app data at any time by:

• Deleting the app from your device
• Using the "Clear All Data" option in the app settings
• Resetting your device to factory settings

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures:

• All local data is encrypted using MMKV
• Network communications use TLS/SSL encryption
• No plain-text storage of sensitive information

Children's Privacy

CalmDone does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Since we don't collect any personal data, the app is safe for all ages to use.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
